After 13 weeks of exciting MAC action we have a final between the Miami Ohio Redhawks and the Toledo Rockets Saturday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. ET at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
Miami won the MAC East title with a 3-1 conference mark and 10-2 record overall. Toledo was the MAC West champ and finished its conference season with a perfect 4-0 record and 11-1 record on the season.

Miami OH vs Toledo Best Bets
Saturday is a rematch of their October 21 meeting where Toledo won 21-17 as -2.5 point away favorite. Toledo is a -8 point favorite on Saturday with a total anywhere from 44-44.5 points.
Two things that happened in their last encounter that I believe was valuable information to know prior to making a wager. The Rockets dominated the first-half and Miami OH dominated the second half of the ballgame.
Toledo took a 21-3 lead into the lockeroom and barely held off a serious charge by the Miami offense. The Redhawks defense pitched a second-half shutout and nearly won this game. That’s what usually happens when the top two offenses meet the conferences top two defenses and I expect the same type of contest in the indoor confines of Ford Field.
Miami had quarterback Brett Gabbert under center for most of the Toledo game before a season-ending injury late in the game stalled whatever momentum the Redhawks had going for them. Since then they’ve relied on their conference-best defense to lead them and it has as Miami closed the season with four consecutive victories.
I like Toledo to win this game but Miami OH to cover the 8 points at DraftKings Ohio.
The Rockets have mowed through the MAC this season with their only blemish a season-opening 30-28 away loss to Illinois. That’s all well and good but they are not a great cover team. The Rockets are 4-1-0 ATS over their previous five conference games but were 4-4-0 ATS in MAC play.
Meanwhile, the only blemish on Miami’s conference season was their loss to the Rockets. They were 6-2-0 ATS against their MAC opponents with the conference’s best scoring defense. The Redhawks offense was second in the conference but failed to meet their 27.3 scoring average in their last three games. That’s okay because they still covered with Aevon Smith under center and they will cover the +8.0 spread against Toledo on Saturday.
My Best Bet: Miami (OH) +8.0 (-110) at DraftKings
