The Cleveland Cavaliers are off to a 24-14 start to their season and are currently +2000 (FanDuel) to win the 2022-2023 NBA Championship. Cleveland is the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference and 2nd in the NBA Central Division.

Donavan Mitchell leads the Cavaliers in scoring and is +3600 to win the NBA MVP. He’s dressed for 34 of the 38 Cavaliers games this season and is ranked 7th in the NBA scoring race. Mitchell recently scored 71 points against the Chicago Bulls and leads Cleveland with 1.4 steals per game.

Darius Garland has missed eight games this season but is now +50000 (BetMGM) to win the NBA MVP. He’s 31st in scoring and leads Cleveland with 7.8 assists per matchup.

Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen opened as a +100000 favorite to win the NBA MVP award but is now off the board. He’s 84th in scoring, leads Cleveland with 10.2 caroms, and is the only Cavaliers player averaging a double-double.

Let’s look at 5 Cleveland Cavaliers season predictions for 2022/2023:

1. Cleveland Cavaliers Odds to win the NBA Central Division +260 (FanDuel)

The odds for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the NBA Central Division is +260 on FanDuel, and I think Cleveland will win the central division.

The Cavaliers are 0.50 games behind division leader Milwaukee, and Cleveland has a solid chance to win the Central. Cleveland has the top defense in the game alongside the 10th-best offense. The Cavaliers boast the 2nd-best point differential in the league–Milwaukee is 4-6 over their last 10 contests, and if anyone can win the NBA Central Division, it is the Cleveland Cavaliers.

2. Cleveland Cavaliers Win Total Over 47.5 games -110 (DraftKings)

The odds for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win Over 47.5 games are -110 on DraftKings, and I would play this wager.

Cleveland opened at 41.5 wins, which is long gone now, but the Cavaliers are playing well, have a winning record against the Central Division, and are 17-11 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers have one game remaining with the Bucks, and as long as Cleveland can stay healthy, the sky is the limit for the squad with the best defense and 10th-best offense in the NBA.

3. Cleveland Cavaliers Odds to win the Eastern Conference +1000 (FanDuel)

The odds for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the NBA Eastern Conference is +1000 on FanDuel, and I would say no to this wager.

There won’t be a better price than this for the Cavaliers to win the Eastern Conference, but the real question will be Clevelands’ health. Darius Garland has missed some time with various ailments, as have Evan Mobley, Mitchell, and Allen. Cleveland has the 6th best bench in the game, but Milwaukee, Brooklyn, and Boston all have deeper benches and more impactful offensive players. Remove one starter, and the Cavs bench suffers, and +1000 isn’t a good enough price on what will be a longshot at best.

4. Cleveland Cavaliers Odds to win NBA Championship +2000 (Fanduel)

The odds for the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the NBA Championship is +2000 on FanDuel, and I would say no to this wager.

Cleveland has many good things going for them; Mitchell is scoring in droves, Allen and Evan Mobley are blocking shots and pulling a combined 19 caroms per game with the best defense in the league. The Eastern Conference is stacked, and getting out of the East will be remarkable. Betting on the Cavaliers to win the championship only makes sense if one believes Cleveland can win the east, and if they do, +2000 will seem like a steal.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers’ Odds to make the playoffs -4000 (FanDuel)

The odds for the Cleveland Cavaliers to reach the NBA playoff is -4000 on FanDuel, and I would play this wager.

This wager opened at -110 for a Yes or No, and while -4000 is a steep price to pay, the Cavaliers are the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference with the 2nd-best points differential in the game. A massive amount of injuries would have to occur for Cleveland to miss the playoffs – if you can afford to lay $400 to win $100, then this is the wager for you because the Cavaliers are most likely going to make the playoffs.
