Dayton Flyers +300

The Flyers are a 3-1 favorite to win the regular season championship. Dayton has gotten off to a 6-2 start to its season and boasts victories against three top-100 Kenneth Pomeroy-ranked teams. The Flyers were competitive in their losses to Northwestern and No. 1 Houston and open their Atlantic 10 season on January at Davidson.

Dayton is draining 39% from downtown thus far but just 12th in scoring but it’s 61 points allowed per game tops the conference table. The Flyers are the best rebounding team and third the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference.

Saint Joseph’s Hawks +500

Saint Joseph’s is a 5-1 favorite to win the conference regular season title. They are 7-2 with a quality victory at Villanova, but the Hawks have also suffered a horrible home loss to Texas A&M Commerce but went to overtime their next night out at Kentucky. Saint Joseph’s opens their conference season at Rhode Island on January 3.

The Hawks have five players scoring in double figures. They are scorching the nets at a 36.5% clip from beyond the arc and are currently fourth in the conference in scoring. Saint Joseph’s is 14th in rebounding with the conference’s 11th-best assist-to-turnover ratio.

St. Bonaventure Bonnies +600

St. Bonaventure is a 6-1 favorite to win the regular season championship and is off to a 6-2 start. The Bonnies were upset at home by Canisius and suffered a neutral court loss to Auburn, but they’ve defeated everyone else they should have beaten. St. Bonaventure opens their conference season on January 3 at defending champion VCU.

The Bonnies are 14th in scoring but fifth in points allowed. They drain 35% of their triple attempts, shooting 45% from inside the arc and 78% from the charity stripe. Kenneth Pomeroy claims the Bonnies are the most experienced D1 team nationally, boasting the 12th-best assist-to-turnover ratio in Atlantic 10.

Duquesne Dukes +600

Duquesne is 6-2 on the season and has a quality win at home against Cal Irvine. They also have a pair of losses to the top 70 groups, Princeton and Nebraska. They’ve also won their buy-in games, knocking down 36.5% from beyond the arc. The Dukes open their conference season at Massachusetts.

The Dukes are third in the Atlantic 10 in scoring while allowing the tenth-most points per game. Duquesne is mediocre from the charity stripe, 14th in the conference in rebounding with the second-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference.

VCU Rams +750

The Rams won both the regular season and conference tournament last season and are 4-5 to open their non-conference season. Four of the Rams’ losses were to KenPom’s top 100 groups, and they open their conference season on January 3 against the Bonnies.

VCU is sixth in the conference in scoring and allows the second-fewest points per game. They struggle from downtown and shoot just 43% from the field. The Rams are shooting 77% from the charity stripe with the eighth-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the Atlantic 10.
