The State of Ohio is a hotbed for football, and the various postseason bowl committees have invited five Ohio Universities to represent their Ohio-based school in a postseason bowl game.

None of our Ohio universities placed a team in the FBS Playoffs. Still, the Ohio Bobcats, Miami (OH) Redhawks, Bowling Green Falcons, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Toledo Rockets won the minimum six matchups required, and each game should be fantastic.

Join me as I take a look ahead at the early betting odds for each participating Buckeye State school and maybe a free pick or two for each Ohio-based university.

The Georgia Southern Eagles finished fifth in the Sun Belt Conference but were invited because they finished 6-6-0. Eagles quarterback Davis Brin threw for the 13th-most yards in the college game, but his Georgia Southern dropped in its final four games of the season.

The Ohio Bobcats finished second in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) East standings and closed its season by winning three of their last five. The Bobcats allowed the fifth-fewest points per game in the nation and hope to end a disappointing season with a victory over Georgia Southern.
